BIOGRAPHY

Sharon (Silvia) Clossick grew up in Rhode Island where, as a young girl, was deeply rooted in nature and developed a love of natural beauty through play and exploration of the outdoors. She often found herself contemplating life while sitting in a large maple tree in her front yard. She considered herself an artist and a deep thinker who was attracted to all that was true, good and beautiful. While Sharon expressed herself her entire life through the gift of art, she developed a love for sacred art during a pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi in 2005. Upon her return, while raising four young children, she decided to pick up her paint brush and express the love of her Catholic faith through painting. Sharon has since, for twenty years, been painting sacred, devotional, and mundane art. She is answering God's call to spread Christ's love through her art and to bring the beauty of the gospel back to the culture in a new way. She says, "we are all called to evangelize and to walk the path with Christ, discovering the cross and redemption". Sharon and her husband, Deacon Joe, reside in Narragansett, RI.
